Chapter 5

It was dawn when I awoke; the red light from the sun was shining through the holes in the outlanders den making the cavern look like it was covered in blood. I smiled, it seemed like a good sign to me.

I got up and stretched, leaving Zira asleep next to me. I would let her rest, yesterday was hard enough for her. I walked outside to see Kovu waiting for me.

'Ready?'

'Yes Father, lets go.'

We padded out of the Outlands, making sure no one saw us, towards the Elephant Graveyard. We trotted in silence, I could feel Kovu's tension rising in the misty morning air, he did not know what we were going to do.

We padded down the slope and into the Graveyard where I signalled for Kovu to stop with a flick of my tail. I ran off into the graveyard, slightly hampered by my old injury, and disappeared into the largest skull where Zira found me. I returned after a few minutes with Nuka by my side.

'Nuka!'Screamed Kovu as he ran towards us, he bowled into Nuka and clutched at his scraggy fur. 'I thought you were dead? You were dead?!'

'No, I faked it, I had to disappear so the plan can finish, mother is too hot headed she'd happily lead the charge into battle at any given moment. Now that I am gone mother will wage war against them and we can set the plan into motion whilst she is distracted.'

Kovu nodded solemnly, we all hated lying to Zira but Nuka was right, she is too hot headed and we needed to keep her out of the way if this plan was to be a success.

'You two are to stay here and wait, Kovu, you must find Kiara! Win her back any way possible is that understood?'

'Yes father!' Kovu sat up as straight as he could.

'Good, now both of you, stay away from the Outlands, Nuka, do not be found at all if you have to go out to hunt go out into the Pridelands or the jungle.'

'Yes father!' He tried to sit up like Kovu but failed with his scrawny figure compared to the complete muscle of his brother.

I smiled before leaving my sons to hunt, upon returning to the Outlands Zira was lying down in the sun with the other lionesses in silence. I dropped a warthog by her side and she turned around, her eyes full of pain. I leant down and nuzzled her before pushing the warthog towards her, she took a couple of mouthfuls before turning away and placing her head between her paws. I hated to see her like this but it would keep her safe for a few days and let everything settle.
OMG I'M ALIVEEEEEE

Haha god it feels good to get back to writing this!! You poor fans have been waiting for months!!

Just a filler chapter to let everyone catch onto what is going on because I left everyone so confused after the last chapter ;)

More to come!!

Now this would be more of a terror, seeing as how waking the dead coudl be explained, (if it involves zombies that is). Normally, an undead piece is a horror because there is no direct, distinct explanation of how the zombie outbreak occurs
